Pros: Literally the best marriage candidates I have seen in years, building architecture is beautiful, farm can be very customizable, cut scenes are pretty good, character customization is fantastic, so. Verdict: Still worth it, it’s just more something to relax and enjoy than actually take serious though. Pros: Story is pretty cool, complete customization of town, has the classic mountain area like older harvest moons, fish traps are fun.Ĭons: Clunky, a very, very slow start, excessive need to collect building materials (the moment you need them suddenly there aren’t any available for a whole season), marriage candidates are lacking, not much substance, stupid ass gardening tours, mining is trash. And there’s The Lost Valley, but that’s another no from me. ToTT is a love it or hate it sort of thing. There’s also The Tale of Two Towns and Rune Factory 4. I mean, maybe you’d like it, it’s not quite as horrible as the previous Natsume games, but I’m not gonna suggest it. And I kinda like it, but all the different fertilizers and treats can be a bit much for some people. It helps that you can get 20 products from each animal though. The barns are too big, but hardly hold any animals, for a thing that bugs me. Decent story, and goals that are actually very reasonable compared to previous games. The pets have actual breeds instead of being recolors. Good candidates, and even the villagers have plenty of dialog and events. It’s not absolutely necessary to get them though. And there are some animals that’ll take you forever to get as well. You will need a guide and a lot of patience. Bad, bad, very bad requirements for unlocking the last two vendors though. Also liked selling things to vendors for instant money. Can’t customize the town, besides a few gardening spots, but you can still customize your farm, and actually have more customization for the inside of your house than you did in ANB. I like not having to go somewhere and pay to change my look. Getting materials for outfits can be frustrating. Crops get easy at a certain point though. Farming can end up taking over your whole day if you end up with too many animals. Moving around, and especially jumping, feels wonky when I come back to it after SoS and 3oT. I hate the other, but still appreciate how different they are.

They’re total assholes, and I married and love one. But you’ve also got a couple candidates that really surprised me. The marriage candidates are pretty good, some are the usuals like how Neil is pretty much a non-cowboy Vaughn. But I’ll go ahead and give my thoughts on all of them.Ī New Beginning: So much customization.
